Alan Eugene Baker, age 57, formerly of Herndon, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at reston Hospital.  He was born on June 18, 1965 in Gettysburg, PA and was the son of the late Orville R. and Dorothy V. Baker. Alan was the loving husband of Alice J. Baker being married to her for 17 years.

Alan is survived by his wife, Alice Baker; a son, Adam E. Baker with wife Malory, of Fairfield, PA; his stepdaughters, Elizabeth F. Parker and husband Jamal, and Erin E. Harter and fiancé, Ken Chappelear;   his sisters, Debbie, Darlene Fogle along with husband David, Diane Stambaugh  and her husband Greg; one brother, Richard Baker; and his grandchildren, Aden Logan Baker, Jamal and Jaclyn Parker and Chloe, Zachary and Alexander Chappelear.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Alan was loved by many friends and family throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dottie Baker.

He graduated from Catoctin High Scholl in 1983 . Alan was formerly employed as a Supervisor of the Housing Authority of Baltimore City working in that employment for 27 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf and cards, doing traveling and being a part of the Renaissance family. Alan loved life and enjoyed having just an all-around good time with people. Alan will be thoroughly missed by his best friend, Sugar Dog.

Everyone will miss Alan’s laughter and his big smile and rosy cheeks.
