Eugene (Bunk) Joseph Schwanebeck, Jr., 77, of Fawn Grove, formerly of Baltimore, passed away Sunday, October 6th, 2024. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Colleen (McFarland) Schwanebeck.
He is survived by his daughter Leslie Kelly and her husband Peter, his son Neil Schwanebeck, and his daughter-in-law Jen Schwanebeck. He was Poppy to three grandchildren: Connor Kelly, Kasey Karoll, and Lena Schwanebeck.
Poppy could always make the grandkids laugh. Connor was his favorite baseball player, and he loved watching Kasey and Lena sing and perform on stage. They are all very talented and he was a very proud Poppy.
Bunk served in the US Army as a helicopter crew chief and door gunner during the Vietnam War (1967-1968) and was a decorated combat veteran. He was a proud union bricklayer with Local 1 of MD, VA, DC. Bunk was a big O’s fan, avid reader, and music lover.
