Apprentice FAQ

BAC Local 1 MD, VA, & DC is committed to training highly skilled and safety-conscious masons who meet the demanding standards of contemporary construction schedules, codes, and safety regulations. As materials and industry products continue to advance, we proactively update our training programs to ensure our members remain the most proficient professionals in the field.

Apprenticeships were the original method for learning a trade and acquiring skills long before universities and colleges existed. Our federally registered training program continues this tradition by cultivating apprentice talent and teaching essential craft mechanics, guiding them toward becoming skilled masons. We offer a range of classes that equip both apprentices and journey workers with a comprehensive understanding of modern wall system technologies, highlighting the critical role masons play in their effective construction.
